Why Theatre Of War?

Running a restaurant is truly a business of battle: and the whole basis of kitchen culture comes from the army! Doesn’t surprise you?

Over 10 restaurants and 2 cooking schools, Chrissie fed  politicians, local crime lords, gambling dens and brothels. And duelled with difficult staff and landlords.

She tells it like it is: hard, hot, heavy, sometimes dirty work. With no let up. Expo 88 opened with a bang, and Chrissie was there too.

Want a wild ride behind the pass? This is it!

Loved this book! Chrissie is a talented writer. She knows how to engage her readers. She artfully tells how it is running and working in a restaurant… It’s at times funny, serious, nostalgic and downright entertaining. Well worth the read! For budding cooks / chefs the included recipes look amazing… Will have to try some out soon!
